About Us

Port Washington Special Needs Soccer is a community effort to provide the challenged children in our region the opportunity to participate in a rewarding and memorable soccer program. Port Washington Soccer was founded by Dan Brotman, a resident of Port Washington for over ten years. Brotman is currently the VP, Competition for the Port Soccer Club, on the Sportsmanship Committee of the Long Island Junior Soccer League and a member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Port Washington Soccer is a total community effort, staffed by NSCAA Premier Level coaches and assisted by dedicated and caring high-school-aged volunteers.

The program utilizes the national Special Needs Soccer curriculum, which emphasizes participation, not competition. To learn more about volunteering for our program, please visit our Special Needs Soccer Volunteer page.
